** EIPIO focuses on intelligence as a profession, not as a buzzword. Intelligence practice is a requirements-led discipline that reduces uncertainty for a defined decision-maker about external actors, environments, threats, or opportunities. It converts information into assessed judgement through tasking and collection, processing/exploitation, evaluation and analysis, and dissemination in usable forms—followed by feedback that tests impact and refines requirements. Intelligence professionals apply explicit tradecraft standards (source evaluation, transparency of assumptions, confidence statements, timeliness, and legal/ethical duty-of-care) to make their judgements reliable enough to act on.
